Job Summary:

Join the App Engine Core Engineering Team at BNY to contribute to the development, management, and maintenance of PaaS services for both on-premises and Cloud container platforms. We are in search of a skilled System Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes to enhance our innovative technology team. The ideal candidate will excel in system engineering, focusing on containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes, to design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters supporting mission-critical applications. This is a Hybrid position in our Jersey City, NJ or NYC office.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters following best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration with existing systems
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Kubernetes clusters
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Implement and maintain security and compliance policies for Kubernetes clusters
• Stay updated on the latest trends in Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in Systems Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in Kubernetes – Cluster and Infrastructure
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
• Certification in Kubernetes (preferred)

• Azure - AKS
• Google - GKE
• RedHat OpenShift
