We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Data Science Manager to join our Asset Servicing Sales Practice Team. This role is located in Boston, MA – Onsite/Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Orchestrates data science technical and organizational leadership to effectively grow, promote, and deploy the effective utilization of data products in support of the Sales Practice strategic priorities, including pricing, competitive analytics, opportunity analytics, and RFP/DDQ response management
- Develop organizational leadership in techniques and methods to support data decision making. Deliver actionable insights across domain specialties including model science, feature science and Insight science capabilities.
- Develop team skills in application of AI capabilities across all domains relevant to Sales Practice, including Sales Enablement, RFP/DDQ responses, Presentations, CRM data management, Deal pricing and modeling, technical demonstrations, and the deal management lifecycle
- Establishes relationships to foment a culture of data sharing across BNY and to obtain data and subject knowledge needed to support advanced analytics
- Oversee the development of consultative partnerships with internal teams to understand their strategic objectives, key performance indicators and reporting requirements
- Oversee the discovery of business insights to guide strategic direction and drive organizational efficiencies, effectiveness, and outcomes. Recruit and develop staff including professional and college hires from leading edge institutions.
- Stays abreast of technology innovations and trends and identifies areas of improvement across BNY and externally to academic and vender relationships. Contribute to budgets and operating plan based on client needs.
- Partner with key AS business leaders to lead one or more complex initiatives with direct strategic impact by maintaining and growing cross-organizational relationships, leveraging data science across the enterprise, including:
- Collaboration within the team and broader BNY relationships to understand AS business, how to obtain data and subject knowledge needed to support advanced analytics and analytics-informed decisions & transformation;
- Defining the scope of strategic initiatives;
- Owning and driving creation of deliverables;
- Developing and incorporating insights from qualitative and quantitative analysis;
- Project management for strategic projects;
- Define scope, timeline, key milestones for project work
- Set meetings, define agendas
- Develop insights from thoughtful, thorough data analysis;
- Partner with business SMEs and competitor and market intelligence teams to collect quantitative and qualitative inputs
- Synthesize information and communicate insights and “so what’s” back to business leaders and AS Strategy head
- Connecting the dots to deliver a “One Asset Servicing” and “One BNY” strategy.
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Masters degree in business or other technical field a plus.
- 7 years of total work experience preferred.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Highly proficient with data science tools, including Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, Python.
- Very strong communications skills, including listening, writing, speaking, and strategic framing.
- Asset Servicing industry knowledge and experience. Strategy, finance, or relevant consulting experienced highly valued.
