We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Line of Business Risk, Manager II to join our BNY Wealth Risk team. This role is located in Lake Mary or NYC in a Hybrid work environment.
About The Team
Wealth Risk at BNY is an oversight function within the second line of defense, responsible for the oversight of BNY Wealth Management. The team’s duty is to ensure that risk for our clients and our bank is identified, measured, reported and controlled by the first line of defense.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $79,000 and $147,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

About The Team

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer for BNY Wealth, with responsibilities for planning, facilitating, and preparing materials for internal and external meetings and communications for the CRO, including periodic business reviews, committees, communications with regulators, and other stakeholders. Ensure all follow-up items are addressed appropriately.
- Build relationships across business and functions to enhance efficiency and responsiveness to operations.
- collaborate with senior leaders and their teams to drive high-value analyses and facilitate effective decision-making by gathering and prioritizing information.
- Contribute to or lead other high-priority activities as determined by the CRO.
- Additional responsibilities may include staffing and budget needs, recruiting efforts, supporting team members, and contributing to an innovative, inclusive, and continuous improvement workplace.
- Bachelor‘s degree in Finance, or related discipline and combination of experience.
- 5-7 years of industry experience preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized and efficient.
- Motivated to manage competing priorities to achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to articulate complex topics simply and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both senior leaders and staff across all levels of the organization.
- Broad experience across functions, preferably risk management and/or compliance areas.
