Job Summary:

Create, communicate, and monitor plant production schedules for a multi-process, make-to-order manufacturer. Control and document the movement of materials to production.

Job Duties:

  • Review customer orders and delivery requirements within a computerized ERP system to plan production needs
  • Assess availability of employee, machine, and sub-contracted resources
  • Determine the appropriate equipment staff to be used for each order
  • Produce a weekly job schedule by work center and distribute it to production
  • Produce a daily schedule by employee and distribute it to production
  • Monitor production process to determine if schedule is up to date
  • Revise schedule as needed to address changing customer needs, labor shortages, and machine breakdowns
  • Work closely with several department heads as a cohesive team
  • Requisition materials to work orders as need to support production
  • Maintain accurate inventory control records to assure physical counts and job costing are timely and correct
  • Locate and move materials from raw material storage to the production process

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience including 1 years in a scheduling role
  • Strong computer skills, specifically: Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook. Familiarity with Visual Manufacturing would be a plus
  • Must exercise superior organizational skills, and basic math skills
  • Must be punctual, dependable and demonstrate a desire to learn
  • Must possess and practice good oral and written communication skills

Physical Demands:

Moderate lifting is required. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
