Assistant Supervisor

Overview:

Reporting directly to the Assistant Plant Manager, this position will be in training for a period of one year or, until he/she satisfactorily learns every aspect of operations, distribution and all service departments.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

After the training period, employee will:

• supervise the daily operations in any area where the facility has a need
• ensure all associates are properly trained and understand the processes within the assigned department
• maintain responsibility for the initiation of reward and disciplinary systems
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of two years college preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years experience coaching and leading people.
• Food processing experience desired or a minimum of three (3) years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general information on a technical level
• Basic computer skills in all MS Office applications
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with all levels of personnel
• Must have basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations of formulations, ingredients, yields, and man-hours
• Good analytical and logical problem solving skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Must be able to lift overhead up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, in refrigerated environment as well as in cooking areas.
• Ability to travel to other facilities required.
