Job Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional-Event Manager will be responsible for managing groups from start to finish as well as assisting with the management of daily golf operations, which include managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, managing tournaments, teaching lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

The Assistant Golf Professional-Event Manager will be responsible for managing groups from start to finish as well as assisting with the management of daily golf operations, which include managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, managing tournaments, teaching lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Take leading role in booking, planning, running and conclusion of all outside groups and events at Birdwood
- Assist with all financial controls for the commencement and conclusion of business each day
- Assist with the planning, set up and running of Birdwood member events
- Provide assets, tools or physical support for all golf operations staff
- Provide Boar's Head Resort renowned service to all golf members and guests on a daily basis
- Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
- Assist in managing tournaments and outings including weekly and special events.
- Required knowledge of the following: current golf course conditions, playability of the golf course, course management advice, and other golf course related subjects.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- At least 2 years previous experience working within the golf industry
- Class A Member of the PGA or LPGA; or Apprentice Level 1; or comparable
- Experience managing a POS and Tee Time Management system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and GHIN software
- Basic knowledge of Golf Genius favorable
