Responsibilities:
- To make pickle solutions used in Beef and Turkey Pump operations as prescribed by the processing procedures.
- Responsible for following procedures and formulations in a precise manner.
- Responsible for the detailed record keeping to ensure pickle sheets and batch documents are accurate and complete.
- Must be able to read and write, as well as, perform mathematical calculations: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Perform tests (salinity, nitrite, temperature, etc) as necessary to ensure pickle is formulated correctly.
- Deliver pickle to the various departments and injectors by operation of valves and pumps.
- Must be able to perform responsibilities in a timely manner to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of product through the department.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with other workers in the department to ensure workload is shared and finished product specifications are achieved.
- Responsible for following plant rules and working conditions as it pertains the GMP’s and clean equipment criteria.
- Must have strong desire to accept responsibility, show initiative and be a team player.
- Must be willing and able to perform other job functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate with Supervision, Quality Assurance and USDA personnel.
- Must be able to work in room temperatures that run below 40 degrees.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly.
