Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by department Supervisor.
- Responsible for working in a safe manner.
- Responsible for ensuring product specifications are attained.
- Performs job assignment in a cost conscious manner.
- Strives to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers.
- Responsible for being at workstation on time each workday.
- Works as a team player and communicates with other department members.
- Ability to be flexible as to various job assignments and working conditions.
- Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, plant rules and policies.
- Must be able to pick up 16 pounds repetitively.
- Responsible for installing, removing, cleaning and re-taping of seal bars.
- Straightens and aligns each bag on the seal bar.
- Must keep pace with the line.
- Adjusts line speed for various products.
- May be involved in lubrication of 8600.
- Starts and stops the 8600 machine.
- May be involved in set-up and tear-down/put-away.
- Responsible for bringing problems with equipment to Supervisor or Lead Person.
- Responsible for the 8600 machine.
- Responsible to monitor correct and legible sell-by dated product.
Qualifications:
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
