We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage or co-manage multiple proposals and projects through the BCSP product lifecycle to accomplish outcome objectives within budget and deadlines. Typical duties include managing and facilitating meetings, planning, developing, and implementing company projects and working with outside vendors. This position will also assist with evaluating BCSP products and programs to ensure that planned benefits are being achieved.
The position is based in Indianapolis IN and reports to the Director of the PMO. Key Functions include:
- Manage or co-manage projects - initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, closing, evaluating.
- Oversee and manage multiple projects within the organization simultaneously.
- Contribute to writing project charters, creating project plans using Smartsheet, developing communication plans, risk logs, and status reports, and tracking project performance metrics from concept through the entire project lifecycle,
- Work with project teams to ensure tasks are complete and project milestones are met.
- Create meeting agendas, facilitate meetings, generate meeting minutes, action items, and schedule follow meetings.
- Work with BCSP departments or external organizations to gather and document project requirements so that project expectations are clear, requirements are well defined, and expected outcomes are met.
- Supports PMO project template creation and helps review PMO documents.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of BCSP programs, products, and processes.
Eligibility qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent or comparable project management certifications.
- PMP certification and/or post-secondary degree in project management or a closely related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of professional project management experience in a professional service oriented environment, including at least the equivalent of 1 year of full-time experience independently leading projects.
- Must be organized and detail oriented. Must have proficiency and experience with word processing, spreadsheets, business presentations, database management and Internet software.
- Possess analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions as well as solid conflict resolution skills.
