Job Overview:
We have a full-time 12-month Accountant position available located at our Central Office in Castleton, NY. The ideal candidate will assist the Business Office team in managing all financial accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial reports, bank reconciliations, cash receipts, journal entries, grants reporting, and billing.
- Maintains the general ledger and performs other related duties for the organization.
- Reconciles monthly bank accounts and accounts receivable collections.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least two years of accounting experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration or related field with a minimum of 18 semester credit hours in Accounting and four years of accounting experience accepted.
