Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team in the food service industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food handling and management, particularly within fine dining or casual dining environments. This role is crucial in supporting the General Manager to ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and a high-quality dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
- Help maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
- Engage with customers to address concerns and enhance their dining experience, ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menu items that align with customer preferences and seasonal offerings.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote special events and increase customer engagement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service management or as an Assistant Manager in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation and service is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
