Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are sanitized and ready for use. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for the culinary arts and wish to contribute to a positive dining experience.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and organizing items as needed.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including basic food handling and preparation duties.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to streamline service.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean utensils and equipment for food preparation and service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
- Willingness to assist with various tasks within the kitchen as needed, including food preparation and cleaning duties.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift moderate weights as necessary.
