We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician / Field Technician / Sr. Field Technician in Pineville, LA.
POSITION DESCRIPTION :
This position is responsible for carrying out daily operations & maintenance tasks associated with pipeline and compressor station compliance and maintenance of Texas Gas pipelines in the Pineville and other assigned areas. This position will be responsible for environmental health & safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, compressor maintenance, reading rectifiers, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, gas sampling, one-calls, preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, valve site and right of way maintenance, gas quality monitoring and assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities. This includes, but is not limited to; operating the facilities, assisting with the repair and maintenance of reciprocating natural gas fired Cooper Bessmer engines, Solar Turbine and associated compressor units including the overhaul and mechanical repairs of all reciprocating natural gas engines and compressors. This position may occasionally be required to assist at other nearby areas. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response (HAZWOPER). This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures as associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This position will be expected to respond to call-outs and will be part of the on-call rotation related to pipeline and compression and for responding to emergency or abnormal situations. The successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Texas Gas Pineville Operations facility located at 3983 Old Marksville Hwy Pineville, LA. in order to respond to call outs expediently.
