We are currently seeking an Engineer I / II / or III who will sit in our Owensboro, KY or Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION : REQ979
Responsible for complying with CFR 192, CFR 195 and Texas Railroad Commission requirements as it relates to Integrity Management – focusing on risk modeling and analysis. Requires interaction with Company Operations personnel, Company Engineers, Project Managers, and third-party Contractors.
REQUIRED EDUCATION :
- BS in Engineering from an accredited University
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE :
Background in natural gas or hazardous liquids pipeline
Working knowledge of pipeline regulations and industry standards such as API 5L, ASME B31.8s and 49 CFR Part 192 / 195Background and experience in QRA and / or Probabilistic Risk ModelsBackground with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE :
Ability to read, understand, and apply directions, policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and regulationsExcellent problem solving and written and verbal communication skillsWell organized with a high degree of initiative and motivationStrong computer applications skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPointMust be willing and able to travel 15% of timeSpecific responsibilities include :
Prepare annual data loads into risk model
Perform risk model maintenanceConduct annual risk assessmentsPrepare annual risk analysisFacilitate annual risk results review with non-risk personnel (i.e., Area Managers, Operations VPs, etc.)Responsible for the following implementation of a new QRA Risk Model, including :Participating in vendor design and data gathering sessionsValidating data, dashboard / reporting, algorithm, and software configuration requirementsFacilitating sessions with non-risk personnel to identify and gather dashboard / reporting requirementsParticipate in design of process to rollout review of dashboards / reports tailored to non-risk personnelIdentifying / Confirming algorithm updatesTesting algorithm / model and software changesTesting of risk dashboards / reportsFacilitate testing of dashboards / reports prepared for non-risk personnelConduct annual Rupture Mitigation Valve (RMV) analysis for Senior Executive ApprovalAssist with Subpart O and Mega Rule Assessment Plan development and maintenancePerform Emergency Flow Restricting Device (EFRD) analysis as neededPerform a Cyclic Fatigue Analysis periodicallyAdditional items as necessary to aid in the success of the Integrity Management ProgramADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
