The Accounts Receivable position is responsible for managing direct billing approvals, collections, guest billing, and ensuring accuracy in receivables. The role requires maintaining outstanding balances within acceptable guidelines while providing exceptional guest service and collaborating with other departments to resolve billing issues promptly.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Regularly prepare and monitor aging reports, alerting the Controller or Assistant Controller to problematic accounts.
- Perform collection activities on overdue accounts.
- Assist guests with billing inquiries and provide documentation to promptly resolve any issues.
- Verify the accuracy of banquet charges against event orders and follow up with necessary corrections.
- Review master account bills against sales agreements, ensuring accuracy, and address any open issues with the sales team.
- Reconcile billing cover sheets with the property management system to ensure correct revenue postings.
- Prepare and mail master account bills promptly to guests.
- Reconcile and post unearned revenues from the Sports Club and Birdwood Golf at month-end.
- Allocate earned revenues accurately over the appropriate accounting periods to reflect membership tenure.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly sales resume meetings.
- Provide assistance to co-workers when needed and contribute to the overall team effort by completing additional tasks as assigned.
1. At least 2-5 years of previous accounting experience.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. Previous office administrative experience.
5. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
7. Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
8. Proven ability to:
