JOB OVERVIEW
Provide exceptional customer service to guests dining in The Mill Room by taking orders, serving guests, advising guest of available food and beverage options, satisfying guest needs and following Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Four Diamond Service Expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Greet table once sat
- Provide menu tour, answer questions about menu items.
- Make recommendations for accompanying cocktails, beer and wine selections.
- Closely monitor guest dining experiences and report any issues to Restaurant Manager.
- Follow and satisfy Forbes Four Star Service Expectations.
- Follow department opening/closing procedures.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards.
- Create guest checks and payments.
- Responsible and accountable for all equipment and materials handled.
- Acquire and practice exceptional menu/wine knowledge and up-selling techniques.
- Attend training sessions and complete training project tasks.
- Communicate and maintain strong relationships with other departments.
- Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mill Room Restaurant and Kitchen area.
Requirements:Essential
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fine dining restaurant.
- Polite, friendly demeanor.
- Neat, clean appearance.
- Willing to follow rules for sanitary food service.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt, effective service.
- Ability to operate Micros to enter orders and prepare checks.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- At least 21years old to serve alcohol.
