We are currently looking for a lab research scientist to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must live in the Salt Lake City area
- Must work in our Millcreek office full-time Monday-Friday
- A 4 year B.S. degree in the sciences. Preferably chemistry, physics, geochemistry, or geophysics
- 1 to 5 years of industry experience in the corporate R&D or Lab industry
- Experience with operating analytical equipment
- Efficient
- Self-motivated
- Organized
- Background in electromagnetic radiation (radio waves, microwaves, X rays, light spectra, visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, laser, etc...)
Responsibilities
- Training and expert support will be provided for all responsibilities
- Experimental based work
- Applying the scientific method to solve real problems
- Running high energy XRF equipment
- Running multiple pieces of analytical equipment
- Modifying and testing analytical equipment
- Conducting analytical studies
- Documenting testing and modifying based on results
- Scope of work and testing report writing
- Supporting the design, testing and operation of sensing products
