Lead Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Lead Host to join our team. The Lead Host will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring efficient restaurant operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant operations, particularly with Aloha POS systems.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
• Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about menu items and specials.
• Train and supervise junior host staff, ensuring adherence to service standards.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and answering questions about the restaurant.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, striving for guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is required.
• Familiarity with POS system is a plus and Open Table Scheduling Software a must.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and guest assistance.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A passion for the food service industry and commitment to enhancing the guest experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
