Summary
The purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the maintenance and administration of Boatmate Trailers, LLC’s computer network equipment, network security, servers, and related computing environments.
Essential Functions
- Develop, manage, and execute network security measures; create and document security policies or procedures.
- Install computer hardware, applications software, and more, while providing ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support office staff by providing computer network access, training, troubleshooting, installation help, and technical support.
- Maintain and manage computer networks, hardware, and related computing environments (e.g., printers, systems and application software, virtual servers, VPNs).
- Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.
- Perform data backups, periodical system audits, and disaster recovery operations.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software to ensure reliability of mission critical software and hardware.
- Coordinate with vendors and company personnel to procure new hardware and software.
- Maintain logs of equipment inventory, network functions, and keep records of configuration, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure all actions are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties and cross-training activities as assigned.
