About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and adaptable individual to support our growing portfolio of manufactured housing and RV communities. This role is ideal for someone looking to break into the property/asset management industry, having passion for the industry and a personal drive to succeed. Ownership, Self-starter, and generally awesome are other acceptable traits for this individual.
The successful candidate will be based in Sacramento, CA for the first 3–6 months, working closely with a Senior Asset Manager to learn our business and communities. After this initial period, you may be assigned to a multi-community region anywhere in the country or assigned to become a floating Regional Manager who has the skill set to fill different needs in different areas, running a region on your own or with another Regional Manager. Flexibility is key to this position.
Key Responsibilities during initial 3-6 month assignment:
- Assist Asset Manager(s) with day-to-day oversight of operations.
- Train with Asset Manager on budgeting, financial analysis, projections, and other asset management tasks.
- Train with Asset Manager on inspections, curb appeal expectations, on-site staff training, and other property management tasks.
- Training locally in the field, working side by side with Community Managers and maintenance staff, doing whatever it takes to help the team sometimes including assisting them with their work.
- Training locally in the main office with support staff such as HR, Accounting, Sales & Construction, Operation Managers, Risk Assessment, and others.
- Travel at this time will mostly be local, with the possibility of 1-2 trips outside of California.
Key Responsibilities as an active Regional Manager:
- Travel to communities across designated region(s) to provide interim or permanent leadership, training, and operational support.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial targets, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage on-site teams, residents and vendors as a ‘servant leader’.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans.
- Support new property transitions, acquisitions, and special projects.
- Collaborate with support staff effectively.
- Collaborate with the asset management team to provide operational insight and support value-enhancing strategies.
Qualifications:
- A wide range of experiences will be considered, however overall drive is paramount. A background or education in finance, real estate management, and/or sales is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, high energy.
- Willingness to travel 25–75% of the time (multi-state travel may be required, company paid).
- Interest in asset management and growth, real estate, and sales.
- An understanding and passion for the servant leadership philosophy.
