Position Summary:
This position will provide technical support in the manufacturing plants. Quality assurance technicians (QAT’s) provide guidance to Operations on technical requirements and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine CCP verification checks.
- Perform routine CQP (quality) verification checks.
- Perform routine daily SSOP/GMP audits and observations/documentation.
- Perform environmental monitoring swabs.
- Perform product sampling pulls.
- Perform Trim Receiving Inspections.
- Perform Preop Inspection.
- Participate in sensory panels.
- Manage Holds Tags on the floor.
- Product testing for chemical attributes on the floor.
- Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
- All food safety and human safety concerns need to be reported to appropriate personnel such as Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Knowledge:
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel)
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Excellent reasoning and mathematical Skills
- Strong leadership skills
Education/Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar job function
- Food manufacturing experience desired
- Experience in reviewing results and correlating to acceptable/unacceptable results
