The Corporate Accountant position is responsible for supporting the business functions related to sales at Bob Evans Restaurants. The position is accountable for reconciling sales and applying cash payments, month end close journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations. Accountabilities
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly journal entries and accruals.
- Analyze assigned general ledger accounts and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare management financial schedules on a periodic and as needed basis.
- Participate in other month-end close activities as assigned.
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and appropriate internal control procedures.
- Support organizational objectives through project participation and management.
- Research and match credit card transaction exceptions.
- Review credit card/gift card reporting and provide analysis as needed.
- Prepare, post, verify, and record payments and transactions related to Third Party Gift Cards.
- Performs other duties as required or directed.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and research skills
- Advanced MS Office skills required, including word and excel
- Microsoft D365 experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Collaborative and customer-focused individual
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field; or equivalent
- CPA or CPA Eligible preferred
