Parts Counter Representative (Chevrolet)

Job duties include (but not limited to):
- Provide fast and courteous service to both technicians and retail customers.
- Sell parts and accessories to wholesale customers in person, by telephone and by other methods.
- Interpret and explain parts warranty and dealership return policy to wholesale customers.
- Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work as needed from outside suppliers and get management approval.
- Enter all wholesale orders into order processing and delivery system in the order in which they are received.
- Identify orders that require special handling, such as emergency order, will call, special order, incorrect parts or NPN.
- Follow up on status of orders to assure that delivery will be made as promised.
- Make sure technicians turn in all defective parts necessary for warranty scrap and tag appropriately.
- Help “scrap” parts held for factory claims
- Answer telephone in accordance with dealership guidelines. Solicit orders or answer questions as appropriate.
- Keep work area clean, free of debris, safe and put away loose stock.
- Perform other duties and tasks as directed by Management.
- Maintains close working relationship with Technicians and Service Advisors to assure good interdepartmental relations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be initiative-taking, hardworking, and have a great attention to detail. The applicant must have a valid driver’s license. Prior parts experience preferred but we are always willing to train the right candidate.
