SUMMARY: Join a team of fellow students to clean and maintain various campus locations. Crews clean during afternoon hours (1-6pm) and work in areas such as residence halls and academic buildings. Typical schedules include 12 hours of work per week: 2 hours per weekday, with one hour of work on Saturday and Sunday. Schedule can be flexible depending on your availability.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of your assigned area and keep it organized
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
- Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors and stairs
- Empty/clean trash containers
- Clean, dust, and wipe down surfaces in study lounges, vending rooms, and laundry rooms
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
- Report schedule changes, maintenance needs, and all extra cleaning requests to a GA who is directly responsible for your area
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University or Academy (at least 14 years old)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to follow instructions
- This job involves standing, stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, and pushing
