POSITION SUMMARY: Instructional Design Assistants come alongside Instructional Design Specialists to aid in ensuring that BJU Press materials are academically rigorous. You will help prepare for product revisions and other special projects. Your day-to-day tasks might include researching standards and best practices, gathering information for special projects, organizing department resources, and assisting in revision planning.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside instructional design specialists to produce materials that support the BJU Press mandates for biblical worldview formation and academic rigor supported by educational technology.
- Research the teaching of academic disciplines to determine appropriate instructional design informed by best practice teaching strategies/pedagogy.
- Compile instructional design resources.
- Meet regularly with the manager to plan projects, give updates, and receive direction.
- Demonstrate capability in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to research standards and teaching strategies
