What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Safety Traffic (Student) position at Bob Jones University?
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, student employee is responsible for all campus traffic direction and student cross walk duties.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform traffic control as necessary
- Able to work assigned shifts, which may include day, evening, night, weekend, or holiday shift hours
- Communicate effectively and interact with others while handling various situations and problem solving
- May receive and handle all types of telephone calls and e-mails requiring immediate attention
- May dispatch calls and relay information to appropriate units to ensure prompt response to calls and to best utilize departmental and university resources
- Transmit vital information in emergency and non-emergency situations to appropriate Public Safety units, university departments, and/or outside agencies
- Must (occasionally) lift/carry and/or push/pull up to 100 lbs.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University or a High School student at Bob Jones Academy
- Good communications skills
- Education: High School graduate or GED Experience
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Excel
- Web-based programs
Certificates & Licenses:
- May obtain CPR, First Aid
