What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Support Specialist position at Bob Jones University?
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides technical support (primarily desktop support) for the creation of BJU Press video course/digital resources content.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains studio and location production equipment/systems/processes
- Coordinate support with 3rd party entities as needed (BJU IT, Marshall Graphics Systems, etc.)
- Stays current on new and innovative products in the audio and video recording industry
- Assist Technical Support Manager with special projects as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Degree in film production, television, video editing, or broadcasting preferred
- Superior knowledge of professional video equipment and software
- Extensive experience with recording, audio, and studio time is optimal
- IT support experience preferred
- Able to learn new tasks quickly
- Able to multi-task
- Able to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Office
