What are the responsibilities and job description for the Women’s Soccer (GA) position at Bob Jones University?
SUMMARY: The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will support the Head Coach with in season and out of season student athlete training as well as game preparation, recruiting, and coaching. This position is a 9-month Academic GA role.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with players individually, in small groups, and as a team to develop soccer skills
- Work with team fitness both on and off the field
- Assist head coach with practice and game preparation and strategy
- Assist head coach during games as directed
- Discipleship
- Recruiting duties
- Comply with rules and regulation of the NCCAA and the NCAA Division III
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- The assistant coach should have good verbal communication skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Overnight travel with the team
- Maintain status of student in good standing
- Able to occasionally life/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to push/pull up to 40 lbs.
