What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Sales Associate position at Bob Mills Chevrolet?
Job Responsibilities:
- Your primary job description will be to sell vehicles per the company standard and guidelines. The following job duties are expected from a sales consultant, you are assigned to assist and oversee the following duties:
- To assist in waiting on and managing customers in superior guest treatment as they interact with our dealership and maintain a professional work environment
- To be consistent with the greeting process, Why Buy Here Brochure distribution and transition to Needs Assessment on every customer while being prepared to ask a manager intervene or redirect as needed to keep the selling process on course
- A consistent presentation on vehicles that are reviewed with management including proper demonstration and facility tour, prior to writing up a purchase proposal
- After demonstrating a vehicle, returning it to the spot it came from and applying a hold/sold tag to the windshield while you are showing and quoting on the vehicle
- Daily Work plan through the CRM to update all contacts on pending transactions as well as prospecting contacts that are due
- Achieve a minimum of 10 Quality Conversations a day using the ATN manual for strategy and process guide
- Agree that no customer leaves the dealership without being directed by the sales manager to do so
- A daily to do list of follow up items will be generated every morning by referring to:
- Desk Log
- CRM Lead report
- Finance Department follow up
- Tasks assigned by the Sales Mgr
- Daily attendance of the morning sales meeting
- Clear communication with sales management and VIP Check-In desk when arriving and/or leaving for the day or even when on a break
- Be readily committed to page for a Manager to assist with the Manager Intro process, with every customer
- Merchandise and tidy showroom area and lot display
- Be on your feet and on the floor and know what customers are in the dealership and the exact step in the process the customers are currently under way on
- Control and update the desk log for all customers you take to ensure accuracy and current information. The daily goal is 100% of the data is on the log
- Make sure to attend the huddle meeting BEFORE the departure of any sales personnel, usually at 5:30 PM each day
- The closing of sales using policies as outlined in the employee handbook, using the Desk Manager as the source for numbers and deal calculations
- 1st up salesperson will be on the “tower” position and will notify the sales manager as a customer is greeted and waited on
- The tower position salesperson will, at all times, have the lot in site and monitored
- Review role play and sales process training every day with another salesperson or manager
- The Bob Mills Sales Procedure and the Guaranteed Sales Success manual are to be followed and used daily to make improvements in your sales process and to train and learn how to improve results
QUALIFICATIONS: Must work well under pressure, be action and results-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to multitask. Must have distinguishing behavior while putting the customer first, working well with others, leading courageously, developing continuously, and achieving results.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and experience in an automotive finance department is preferred but not required. Working knowledge of automotive CRM systems, automotive inventory management software, and automotive website applications. Additional experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel and possess the ability to navigate through multiple windows and multiple software systems & 10-key experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase agreements, aftermarket product agreements, financing & lease contracts, and other financial related documents as well as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The individual must be able to read and write routine reports and correspondence. The individual must be able to speak effectively amongst a group of customers or employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to understand & carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The individual must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
