Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the accounts payable department for the dealership accounting group through installing effective and efficient processes that follow internal guidelines. Ensures timely vendor payments and properly recognize expense in the general ledger.
Core Responsibilities

- Ensure timely and accurate posting & paying of all approved vendor invoices
- Seek out training and development opportunities as needed to support AP team
- Hire and train accounts payable staff to timely process large volume of vendor invoices and payments
- Ensure proper approvals are obtained for each invoice prior to processing
- Research & install paperless AP system that includes workflow for electronic approval of all invoices
- Effectively setup workflow and continue to improve prosses to gain efficiencies in new AP system
- Review all CDK payable reports (APS) to ensure timely processing
- Install processes to establish how credit invoices are handled timely
- Oversee production of all 1099 reports for all 15 dealerships ensuring timely filing with required state and federal law
- Reviews all W9 records annually and ensures process in place to prevent check issued without a necessary W9
- Document all processes in book format to be used as training manual
- Provide communication with management as it relates to accounts payables
- Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication
- Adhere to schedules and deadlines as defined by Management
- Meet and exceed individual objectives as defined by Management
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- Accounting Degree Preferred
- 5 years of Accounts Payable Manager experience
- Previous automotive experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
