Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the proper billing of all new and used car deals and verify information and paperwork provided for stocking in new and used vehicles to the dealership inventory.
Core Responsibilities
Responsibilities described in this section are fundamental to success in this position.
- Responsible for receipt of all monies received for wholesales and dealer trades and organizing all paperwork.
- Accurately bill all car deals into accounting and sales log.
- Responsible for processing dealer trades while posting them into the service system and accounting schedule.
- Maintain accurate vehicle inventory, posting inventory payables, and tracking all vehicles purchased at auction.
- Stock in all new and used vehicles, create a jacket with the assigned stock number and other designated information for each vehicle stocked in.
- Verify all required documentation is in each jacket.
- Process pay-off checks for purchases and mail to appropriate financial institutions in a timely manner. Process checks for purchase units.
- Provide administrative support to management, as necessary.
- Process wholesale vehicle sales documentation and post it into accounting.
- Process all dealer trades for each dealership.
- Assist with projects on an as needed basis.
- Month end schedules and responsible for sending adjustments to each store
- Process out of state titles, tracking liens, and sending to DMV
- Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
- Enforce safety precautions specific to work area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- Previous automotive accounting experience preferred.
- Previous customer service, collection, or accounting experience or 2-3 years of accounting experience or 2-3 years of detail-orientated, high volume data entry position, or comparable work experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
