Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 6:00pm (Position #2)
The Front Desk Associate will be the first point of contact for members and visitors at [Gym Name]. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing daily front desk operations, handling member inquiries, and supporting the gym's overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet members and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and messages, addressing inquiries about gym services, memberships, and class schedules.
- Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.
- Check in members upon arrival, ensuring proper membership status and maintaining accurate records.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for personal training, group classes, and other services.
- Handle cash, credit card, and membership payments accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
- Monitor and enforce gym policies and safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for all members.
- Assist in promoting gym promotions, events, and membership packages.
- Collaborate with the management team to address member feedback, concerns, and requests.
- Ensure that gym equipment, amenities, and supplies are well-stocked and in good condition.
- Provide basic information and support for members using gym equipment or navigating the facility.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and filing as needed.
- Support team efforts for gym events, promotions, and membership drives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree is a plus).
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or the fitness industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills (experience with scheduling software and point-of-sale systems a plus).
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle member concerns with professionalism.
- Passion for fitness and wellness with an understanding of gym equipment and services.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a gym environment, with occasional lifting and moving of gym equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour
