Classification: $31.61 - $39.52/hr depending on experience
Shift: 12 hour day shift, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, weekends required

Position Overview: The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing and assisting Maintenance employees with the set up and proper operation of all relevant machinery. This position provides support and training for maintenance employees and staffing agency associates.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports the Packaging and Milling departments by minimizing machine downtime and helping them meet their production goals.
- Allocates work assignments to maintenance personnel on shift.
- Acts as point of contact for Mill Room and Packaging Supervisors on shift.
- Maintains workflow and maintenance continuity within the staff on shift.
- Provides emergency and attendance leadership with staff on shift.
- Communicates issues with Maintenance Foreman and next shift Maintenance Lead.
- Flexibility to work over shift or come in early as need arises.
- Trains millwrights and other maintenance staff.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex maintenance problems.
- Trains maintenance mechanics.
- Coordinates team projects and conducts individual projects from start to finish.
- Sharpens and balances millstones.
- Runs PLC diagnostics using a PLC system, industrial controls, pneumatics, motors, and servos.
- Installs new equipment and special functional and structural parts for equipment operation.
- Assembles and disassembles equipment for repair, changeovers, and cleanouts.
- Performs size changeover adjustments to case packers and other equipment.
- Documents repairs in applicable reports, forms, and logs.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
- Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has limited supervisory responsibilities over assigned personnel and staffing agency associates.
- This position reports to the Maintenance Foreman.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiar with company policies and procedures.

- Ability to follow exact procedures and protocols.
- Ability to weld metals and fabricate small parts.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and aerial work platforms.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and machinery setup.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 6 or more years of maintenance experience, AND
- 3 or more years of managerial, supervisory or lead experience, AND
- Previous food manufacturing or general manufacturing experience, AND
- High school diploma or equivalent; OR
- Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to speak in two or more languages.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Position may require standing for long periods of time, as well as stooping, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
- Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- Use of personal protective equipment such as welding helmets, safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves are mandatory.
- This position will perform work within all areas of the facility and may be exposed to dust, dirt, grease and extremes and difference in temperature.
- Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
