Overview
Bob Utter Ford Kia is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Automotive Detailer to join our team in Sherman, TX. The ideal candidate has professional experience in automotive detailing, a strong work ethic, and takes pride in delivering a showroom-quality finish. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of our new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring every unit meets the highest standards before it reaches our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform full interior and exterior vehicle detailing, including vacuuming, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, polishing, and finishing
- Buff and correct paint surfaces to remove swirl marks, scratches, and imperfections
- Apply protective coatings, including waxes and sealants (ceramic experience a plus)
- Maintain detailing bay and equipment in clean and working condition
- Safely operate various types of vehicles on the lot
- Ensure detailing supplies are stocked and organized
- Assist with light custodial tasks to maintain overall shop cleanliness
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year professional detailing experience required
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for vehicle cleanliness and appearance
- Proficiency with buffing, polishing, and paint correction techniques
- Experience with window tinting is a plus but not required
- Must be comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including manual transmissions
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to quality work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
