Summary:
The Design Administrator / Technician plays a critical role in construction administration and supports project success by ensuring efficient and effective communication between design teams, construction teams, and clients. This position performs a range of construction administration tasks including field observations, submittal reviews, RFI responses, specification review and writing, constructability reviews, and overall project coordination. The Design Administrator / Technician ensures project quality and helps drive projects to successful completion.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Perform field observations and documentation to assess construction progress and quality.
· Review and respond to submittals and RFIs in a timely and professional manner.
· Write and review project specifications to ensure design intent and constructability.
· Conduct constructability reviews and assist in identifying potential challenges early.
· Provide quality control through detailed reviews of project documents.
· Track and report project progress, ensuring key milestones are met.
· Communicate construction material updates to project teams.
· Support overall project coordination between design, construction, and client teams.
Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:
· Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
· Expertise in Bluebeam, Procore, and Speclink software platforms.
· Experience with design modeling software such as Revit and AutoCAD/Civil-3D.
· Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology platforms.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to function effectively as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.

Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:
· Experience supporting multiple construction projects simultaneously.

Work Format:
This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.
