The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plays a key role in delivering therapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support to individuals, their families, and the community.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of participants by helping them overcome mental health challenges and social barriers. The LCSW will advocate for their needs and ensure access to resources for success. Essential Duties

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with disabilities, addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify clients' needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions that integrate behavioral health support, skills training, and community integration.
  • Offer crisis intervention and short-term support when needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights, working collaboratively with healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with BDI's interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic, coordinated care for clients.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date case records in accordance with BDI policies, licensing requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available community resources.
  • Support clients in accessing additional social services and community resources that complement their treatment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay informed on best practices, evidence-based treatments, and regulatory changes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Current LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of two years of supervised clinical experience, preferably in a healthcare or social service setting, with experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical social work practices and an understanding of mental health issues, social inequalities, and personal crises.
  • Experience with group therapy, individual counseling, and family therapy.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems for case documentation.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to social work and confidentiality practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with emotional resilience and professionalism.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a focus on client-centered care.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload, as well as collaborate within a team setting.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Specialization or experience in areas such as trauma, addiction, or behavioral health challenges.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services for individuals with disabilities, including public assistance programs, housing support, and vocational services.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage time, tasks, and paperwork efficiently.
  • High sense of professionalism and ethics, maintaining confidentiality and respecting participants' dignity.
  • Adaptable, adjusting approaches as needed to meet changing participant needs.
  • Capable of providing leadership and support to team members.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This is a hybrid position, primarily in-office, with some operations in a professional and moderately quiet office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
