Mulligan's Pointe, located in Georgetown, Delaware and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is a public 18-hole championship golf course that offers affordable unlimited golf memberships, a full-service event venue, and a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
The bar and grill is a local favorite, serving great food and beverages. The club also features live music for much of the year.
The golf course measures 6,677 yard (par 72) PGA Instruction, Driving Range, Chipping & Putting Green!
Mulligan's Pointe is hiring for a Director of Events. This position is paid a base salary plus commissions on the sales of events.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing the events calendar
- Serving as the primary point of contact for large events and parties
- Maintaining paperwork for each booking – Accurately complete Banquet Event Orders
- Maintaining or exceeding budgeted sales and profits
- Generating and executing processes for event booking
- Attending most major club events
- Providing tours of event spaces as necessary to prospects
- Building relationships within the local community to drive sales
- Meeting with Members and Guests to plan events
- Maintain Event Sales Pace Report to forecast event revenue
- Assist in Food and Beverage as needed for event execution
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Previous experience required in a high-volume banquet/catering facility.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- The ability to be ‘aggressive’, as it relates to hitting sales goals.
- Creative in implementing various marketing ideas to increase sales.
- Deadline driven.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time during events.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate events.
Salary : $45,000
