Bookkeeper/ Administrative Assistant

Job Description:
Position Summary We are looking for a meticulous and experienced part-time bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions and ensure our accounting practices comply with established standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, processing transactions, and generating essential financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger accounts, payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other required financial documents.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Provide support during annual audits and tax preparation processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with payroll processing and managing accounts payable/receivable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time position with flexible hours, approximately 20 hours per week.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
