What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Bobcat of Akron?
Job Summary : In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair of customer and company owned construction equipment in the field at various job sites, servicing the Lake County and surrounding areas.
What can I expect to do as a Field Technician?
- Effectively diagnose problems, troubleshoot, and determine necessary repairs or services
- Meet or exceed projected service times
- Explain service and repair work to customers while Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
- Meet all company, governmental and equipment-specific inspections (annual, frequent inspections)
- Test equipment after service / repair completion to ensure they are functioning properly
- Complete the disassembly and inspection of equipment efficiently
- Identify necessary parts needed for repair and support parts department as needed.
- Provide detailed and clear service reports to Service Manager or appropriate parties.
- Maintain clean driving record
- Maintain all tools and equipment used during service calls along with your company vehicle both on and off business hours
- Execute the completion of required training and be open to continued training
- Maintain a safe working environment (including wearing required PPE at all times)
- Operate equipment and maintain all company required certifications.
- Safe and effective communication with dispatch and other team members.
- Other duties as assigned
