Branch Manager Key Responsibilities
General:
- Maximize business operations and results of Sales, Service, Parts, and Rental departments.
- Manage income and expenses for Branch Parts and Service departments along with input for Rental and Sales departments.
- Communicate effectively across the organization to foster teamwork.
- Identify opportunities for company performance improvements and growth.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Manage, address, and resolve any customer issues as necessary.
- Regular communication with Directors/Managers to ensure Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental needs are met.
- Guide Sales, Service, Parts, and Rental departments to meet customer needs, including assisting customers in each of these areas as necessary.
- Hire, observe, train, assist, discipline, and manage store staff.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to motivate, develop, and retain a high-performing workgroup.
- Serve as the local company leader in Branch territory.
- Promote and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for addressing the daily issues of the store.
- Follow store KPI scorecards and deliver desired results.
- Promote and ensure a safe, clean, productive, and fair work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and develop employees.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality service.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Implement employee recognition, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution strategies.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Preferred).
- Experience managing Service Department financials; profit and loss statements, fiscal budgets.
- Background in heavy compact equipment and large construction equipment preferred.
Branch Manager Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with dealership software for Service, Inventory, Rentals and Parts.
- Familiarity with electronic time clock systems for payroll reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- Commitment to ongoing education, including completion of manufacturer training courses.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic service reports.
