Field Service Equipment Technician

Bobcat of Indy is a full-service Bobcat Dealership. We specialize in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offer parts as well as both mobile and shop service, and a full line of concrete supplies.

Bobcat of Indy North is seeking a Field Service Technician! We offer competitive pay, over two weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment, and numerous opportunities for advancement. $28-35/hr depending on experience plus monthly bonus

Monday - Friday dayshift

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure is done following established guidelines and are completed with the cause identified.
• Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
• Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
• Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
• Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
• Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
• All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
• Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
• Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
• Clean driving history.
