As a Rental Manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all equipment rental operations at your assigned location. In this role, you will be expected to manage and lead the rental department, including staffing, training, performance management, and more.
Business Hours: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday

Job Duties:
- Manage and lead the rental department which is to include staffing, training, and performance management.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement Greet customers and determine/understand customer equipment needs through questioning and qualifying; provide alternative equipment suggestions to customers if appropriate based upon information obtained using an extensive knowledge of all equipment available.
- Effectively manage equipment fleet levels, increasing profitability, controlling expenses, and driving accountability within the organization.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities that may include interviewing, hiring, and training coworkers; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting expectations, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplinary action; promptly addressing issues and resolving problems; building a cohesive, safe, and fun culture/environment within the Rental department.
- Obtain customer information; complete rental contract finalizing details about when, where and what equipment is required; place the rental order in the computer; coordinate with the yard and drivers on the delivery of equipment to the job site or for in-store customer pickup.
- Maintain any “downed” rental equipment while working with Service to ensure the creation of service work orders on rentals (This may include swapping out downed units for the customer).
- Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
- Maintain cash drawer EOD and bill customers with POA (Paid on Accounts)
- May be responsible for other tasks, loading and unloading equipment, dispatching, timekeeping, and/or moving to the need.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Equipment rental industry experience preferred – not required.
- Strong motivational and leadership skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel
