Business Operating Hours/Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Customer Service
- Greet walk-in customers and/or take customer calls over the phone to understand the customer’s equipment needs to determine which pieces of equipment will meet those expectations.
- Always demonstrate a professional attitude, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manages or resolves customer’s rental complaints and problems to the best customer satisfaction level possible, which often times can consist of complex problems, unusual situations, and potential difficulties that should be brought to management’s attention.
- Rental Operations
- Manage and maintain current rental inventory, ensuring equipment is clean, well-organized, and ready for the next customer.
- Check returned equipment for damage, usage hours, mileage, and fuel levels.
- Track rentals from initiation to completion, including delivery, payment authorization, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain awareness of departmental KPIs and what the department could do to meet those expectations.
- Administrative
- Collect all required information to complete accurate rental contracts and input them into the computer system.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure that all paperwork and contractual agreements are complete and accurate.
- Prequalify rental customers by submitting credit applications and researching company histories as needed.
- Maintain cash drawer EOD and bill customers with POA (paid on accounts).
- Collaboration
- Assists with telephone collection of past due rental payments.
- Coordinate with Service department to ensure that rental units are in good operating condition by coordinating on any needed repairs for “downed” rental units and maintenance.
- Coordinate with Truck Drivers on the daily transportation needs of rental equipment.
- Lead, mentor, and train other team members within the Rental department.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- This position requires but is not limited to lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, listening, and speaking with internal and external clients.
