PARTS COUNTER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the efficient handling and control of the parts department through proper receiving, shipping, record keeping, delivery, and reporting as well as other duties specified by the Operations Manager.
- Responsible for all aspects of parts procurement, vendor relations, and customer service for heavy construction applications.
- Processing core returns and shipping exchange parts cores to vendors and tracking core credits.
- Receives all customer and service departments ordered parts and components and places in proper areas and/or ships to the customers per orders specifications.
- Monitors promised delivery schedules are met and any known delays are communicated to the immediate supervisor and customers.
- Responsible for all aspects of parts procurement, vendor relations, and customer service for all Bobcat products
- Proficiency in all Bobcat online tools for parts and service
- Parts training as specified by manager
- Other duties as assigned by management
PARTS COUNTER REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Technology, and Physical Requirements)
- Valid driver’s license and must meet General Liability driving requirements in order to operate a company vehicle when necessary.
- Must be able to read parts diagrams and breakdowns, using a computer to look up parts using electronic parts catalogs.
- Lift parts (10-100 lbs) regularly
- Operation of forklift required
- Climbing stairs/ladders to reach all parts on shelving required.
- Must have good communication and phone etiquette, ability to multitask with customer walk-ins and multiple phone calls.
