Are you a college student pursuing an engineering degree and looking for hands-on experience in manufacturing and quality? Koala Kare Products is offering a summer position where you'll work alongside an experienced engineer and quality technician to support manufacturing/quality processes, incoming/final inspections, and perform root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, procedures, as well as incoming and final inspections of products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Analyze and interpret data to improve processes and efficiency
- Troubleshoot root causes of quality issues and recommend and conduct corrective actions to fix and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of the issue.
- Support manufacturing Quality with first article process and incoming inspection by leveraging measurement devices verifying dimensions against engineering print.
- Document audit findings, observations, and corrective actions in a clear and concise manner, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, manufacturing quality, and maintenance
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration,
- Information Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Smartsheet, or other document management tools is a plus.
Work Environment
- Work near moving mechanical parts on an active production floor
- Moderate noise levels, with occasional exposure to dust or airborne particles
- Required safety equipment includes gloves, safety glasses, and safety-toed shoes.
