Job Summary :
The Manufacturing & Division Safety Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the fabrication department and division safety located at our Koala Kare. Products facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for direct supervision and development of all hourly Manufacturing personnel, and for on time manufacture of detail parts used to build baby changing stations, seating products, and other finished goods. This role oversees proper functioning of the Manufacturing department, including control of material, accuracy and security of inventory, cycle counting, stock rotation, meeting predetermined labor cost parameters, maintaining good housekeeping and safety practices within the departments, and is responsible for division health and safety program.

Job Responsibilities :
- Administration of Company rules and procedures within the department.
- Monitoring effectiveness of systems and procedures in the department.
- Assuring that employees are properly trained in safe and efficient performance of their assigned duties.
- Monitoring work in process and supplies inventories, on time status of projects and schedules, accuracy of work, and proper adherence to procedures.
- Controlling departmental expense spending within pre approved budget.
- Assuring timely and accurate information is provided regarding job completion, labor reporting, Engineering change implementation, and special customer requirements.
- Assuring that production schedules are met; providing advance information regarding needs to make changes in provided capacity.
- Assuring equipment assigned to the department is properly and safely maintained and utilized, including lift trucks, hand trucks, fixtures, hand tools, and computer and office equipment.
- Plans, directs, implements and maintains division safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
- Responsible for division safety compliance in accordance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Works with division Employee Relations and Corporate Safety Manager to ensure safety and workers' compensation compliance.
- Conducts and coordinates division safety training, including new hire orientation.
- Reviews and understands corporate safety policies and procedures, enforces accordingly, and maintains local safety policies.
- Assuring that commitments made by the department are routinely met

Salary : $99,000.00 - $104,000.00 Annually
