We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician (FST), Mechanical, for the Gravure, Coating and Laminating product line. The FST provides timely and efficient machine repairs and installations primarily for customers and will serve as the front-line representative for the BOBST product range.
Education:
Technical school or college related to mechanical engineering

Principle Responsibilities:
Machine Service (electrical & mechanical), including the repair and installation of new machines, relocation of existing equipment, customer training, preventative maintenance, ordering parts necessary to perform installations and repair, troubleshooting problems and proactively recommend the necessary service and maintenance programs.

- 80-90% TRAVEL REQUIRED – Candidates must have flexibility to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada. Ideal candidate located within 1 hour from a major international airport.
Education:
Technical school or college related to mechanical engineering
Key Skills & Attributes:
This role is perfect for you if you have had prior experience in –
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the packaging industry or finishing converting industry
- Background in Mechanical engineering
- Diagnosing faults and make recommendations in customer environment.
- Technical knowledge (variable frequency drives, motors, basic AC/DC)
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
- Strong analysis skills and attention to detail
- Independent, responsible work style
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Fluency with metric system
