- Clean and sanitize rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas to maintain high health and hygiene standards.
- Vacuum, shampoo, and spot clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas while adhering to proper safety protocols.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including surfaces, appliances, and utensils, following established food safety guidelines.
- Transport linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to different areas within the facility using wheeled carts or totes.
- Mop and disinfect floors in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Refill soap dispensers, toilet tissue, and paper towel dispensers regularly to ensure an adequate supply for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance to ensure consistent coverage and availability for cleaning duties.
- Follow infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of contagious diseases and maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Clean and disinfect common areas, such as waiting rooms, therapy rooms, recreational areas, and group meeting spaces, to promote a clean and inviting atmosphere for individuals receiving treatment.
- Handle and dispose of biohazardous waste, such as soiled linens or medical waste, in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed within the facility, such as broken fixtures, malfunctioning equipment, or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain inventory levels and order cleaning supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and always adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Foster a positive and respectful working environment by demonstrating effective communication and teamwork skills when interacting with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
