Position Summary:
Boca Woods is seeking a skilled and passionate lead line cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to preparing high-quality dishes for our esteemed members and guests. He/Her must bring culinary expertise and leadership to our kitchen team. This role requires a skilled and experienced cook who can efficiently oversee line operations, ensure food quality and presentation, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment. This role requires precision, efficiency, and teamwork to maintain the elevated dining standards of our country club.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring line cooks, helping maintain efficiency and teamwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following food safety guidelines.
- Assist with prepping ingredients, cooking meals, and plating dishes efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet club standards.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
- Support banquets and special events dining as needed.
Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a line cook, prep cook, or similar role in a restaurant or club setting.
- Country Club experience is a plus
- Ability to prep and plate up a la carte and special event appetizers and entrees.
- Responsible for maintaining par stocks of daily items
- Ability to read daily event orders and prep sheets
- Ability to accommodate special requests from members
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for food quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Food handler’s certification
