Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise measurements and assessments of land, preparing surveys, and collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure project specifications are met. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, data collection methods, and the ability to utilize advanced technology in the field. The position will included scheduling, and preparing information for field crews, processing field data, and preparation of final plats, deed descriptions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys using a variety of tools and technologies, including GPS and 3D scanners.
- Prepare accurate schematics and maps based on survey data.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide essential survey information for construction projects.
- Utilize software such as Carlson, CAD, ArcGIS, and MicroStation to analyze data and create detailed reports.
- Perform data collection in various environments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Analyze survey results to determine property boundaries, topography, and other relevant features.
- Maintain detailed records of survey activities and findings for future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency in algebra and mathematical principles related to surveying.
- Experience with GPS technology for accurate positioning and measurements.
- Familiarity with surveying software such as Carlson, CAD, ArcGIS, and MicroStation.
- Ability to operate 3D scanning equipment for enhanced data collection.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret survey data effectively.
